As we head into the dog days of summer, I want to begin with gratitude. The work of the Career Pathway Support Network would not be possible without the commitment of our regional partners. Thank you for the time and energy you have invested in building stronger career-technical education systems across Southeast Ohio!
Since launching in November, CPSN Southeast has made tremendous progress.
Together, we supported middle grades CTE expansion across the region, coordinated professional learning for more than 100 EMIS professionals, and submitted, reviewed, and approved 338 CTE-26 applications, including 123 middle school applications. These accomplishments reflect the strength of our region and our shared commitment to expanding access and opportunity for students.
We are also excited for what is ahead! Our team is growing to better support our region, and we are thrilled to welcome Brittany Beardmore, CPSN Coordinator, who has already hit the ground running. Beginning in July, the Career Connections Consultants, formerly SST CTPD Consultants, will also join the CPSN team, bringing additional expertise and support for districts, CTPDs, educators, and students.
Looking ahead, we will continue supporting career advising, mentoring, educator development, regional planning, and districts building graduation pathways aligned to the new Industry Credential List being unveiled by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce this summer.
We are proud of what has been accomplished and excited for the year ahead!
