News From the Region:

SEO Tech Prep Coordinators, Harmoni Stamper (Rio Grande Community College & Shawnee State; right) & Jessica Smith (Hocking College; left) attend the BB2C Community & Career Connected Learning Summit on Sept. 22nd, 2023 at Southern States Brown County Campus. The application period for High School Tech Internship Intermediaries is Oct. 12-Nov. 3, 2023. Visit the High School Tech Internship program webpage to learn more and apply . The goal of the program is to provide businesses with the tech talent they need while also providing students with valuable work experience at an early age.

Many students are unaware of the wide variety of career paths available at ODNR. The job shadow program pairs high school juniors and seniors with ODNR staff, allowing students to learn about a typical day by spending a day on the job. The first job shadow day will be held Nov. 17. Students can apply from Oct. 6-31 on the ODNR Job Shadow webpage .
